The batteries manufactured with the AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) process have the electrolytic solution absorbed by highly porous glass fibre separators located between the battery plates. AGM assures lower internal resistance than liquid acid batteries. This results in higher terminal output voltage and longer life, especially at high discharge current values. AGM batteries are widely used in UPS systems, alarm system, emergency lighting or cash register power supply.
